Sam continued to have excellent results in the Mondeo, before moving into a Nissan Primera in 2003, just in time for the commencement of the Touring Car Challenge in late 2003 - taking out the inaugural event at Wakefield Park. In 2004, with limited races and testing due to work commitments, Sam continued to perform well in the Nissan Primera. In 2005, Sam switched back to the Ford Mondeo for the Touring Car Challenge, as well as taking on the challenge of Formula 4000.
